Hiroshima to Nagasaki

The Hiroshima bomb dome after the blast. This was at the museum.

A model of Hiroshima prior to the blast of little boy.

A model of after the bomb blast.

A reconstruction of the bomb dome.
If you look closely, the things that look like mailboxes are letters
from the mayor of Nagasaki protesting the storage of nuclear arms.

This is a reconstruction of the device that caused all the damage.
Little boy. The museum was very sad and it makes you wonder why
anyone would want to have and use nuclear weapons again. Crazy.

This is a tricycle that was near the a-bomb blast epicenter.

We were all feeling a little ill after the trip from Hiroshima to Nagasaki.
It must have been the stuffy cars and the fact that most of us were standing up.
It was also very hot. This little paper crane with our hikata's made us feel a little better.

We ate dinner in Chinatown in Nagasaki.
It was a little pricey and not as good as we had hoped.

We found starbucks here. It's EXACTLY the same.

We're not sure what building this is but we might investigate later.

Ah Nagasaki

This is in the drawers of our hotel desk by our tv.
What??

We spent most of the morning people watching and drinking beer in the park.
Lots of people were out and that's good to see. Lots of family activities.
Today is an off day so we're enjoying a little relaxation.

The kids are so cute here!

Your travelog is salivacious!! You guys will roll off the plane like two little fried dumplings when it's all over! What is this Mr.Donut enigma? Pokey wants to know more!!
Seriously, what a mind-boggling experience...it's been great to get a 1st hand account of the Japanese adventure while it's still super-fresh in your psyche!!

(p.s - Justin you can't move to Japan until CICS is published!)
